No, but we’d be happy to help you make an appointment as soon as possible. In some cases, that may be as soon as the next day, but usually this is closer to a week later. If you’re planning way ahead, please note that we only book appointments up to three months in advance.

As a service, it is customary to tip your tattoo artist much like you would a hairdresser, bartender, Uber driver, or any other service worker– typically 15%-25%. It is encouraged and always appreciated, especially if you are satisfied with your experience. Thanks in advance :)

Ultimately, this depends on what your idea of large is. To Emily, large is anything greater than 6 inches. Emily does tattoo large designs, but these would need to be approved by her ahead of time.

Emily will not tattoo in areas that are not suited for fine line tattoos. Intricate designs may appear distorted on skin with folds.

All tattoos fade overtime. With correct aftercare and continuous protection from the sun, your tiny tattoo should not fade any faster than a traditional tattoo. Over time, our bodies change, and factors like stretch marks and scars can impact the longevity and appearance of your tattoo. The best outlook on this would be to embrace your tattoo’s slow evolution as it ages with you. Aging is inevitable, and beautiful.

Fine line tattoos actually hurt a little less than traditional tattoos because of the size of the needles. (It’s still going to hurt though. Sorry.)

Also, keep in mind that everyone has a different level of pain tolerance. This depends on a variety of factors. To reduce pain, be sure to eat a meal before your appointment and be well-rested. Many people think it is a good idea to take a pain reliever prior to your session, however ibuprofen (Advil) and aspirin are blood thinners which we ask you to AVOID the day of your appointment to reduce bleeding. Acetaminophen (Tylenol) is not a blood thinner and is considered a better option. Also, be aware that some medications and health conditions may affect your pain tolerance and your tattoo. We recommend talking to your doctor beforehand if you are taking any medications or have any medical issues.
